New Minnesota Retirement Plan Requirement: What Business Owners Need to Know
Minnesota employers with 5 or more covered employees will soon be required to offer access to a retirement savings plan. If your business does not already have a qualified plan in place, you may be required to participate in the Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program.
The good news? You have options.
Many business owners may prefer to create and manage their own retirement plan rather than rely on the state-run option. A private plan may give you more control, more flexibility, and the ability to choose what works best for your business and your employees.
Join the Centennial Area Chamber for an important Lunch & Learn with Nicole Olson of Edward Jones, a trusted local resource who understands the needs of small business owners. Nicole will be joined by retirement plan expert Mike Clark with American Funds, who will help explain the new requirement, outline available options, and answer your questions.
At this Lunch & Learn, you’ll learn:
• What the new Minnesota Secure Choice requirement means• Which businesses may be affected• What happens if you do not already offer a retirement plan• The difference between the state-run option and a private plan• Steps you can take now to prepare
This is an important topic for Minnesota business owners. Join us for lunch, get informed, and leave with a better understanding of your choices.
Share this opportunity with your network and others in your organization.
